Grants don’t always work out, but us scientists need to pay the bills somehow and desperate times call for desperate measures… Come help your fellow RSI students devise a scheme to steal a 250-carat diamond inside the auction room of a century-old building… or at least pretend to!
Escape room sessions at Trapped! are $20/person for students, $28/person for non-students (http://www.trapped-toronto.com/).
Interested in joining? This event will take place Tuesday, January 31st. Contact the RSGSU to sign-up!
Join RSI in the largest walk for dementia in Canada!
The Walk for Memories is a family-friendly, fun and inspiring event. It is an annual way to celebrate life, honour a caregiver, and come together with a community of people who understand the devastating impact of this disease. It is a courageous way to help support those living with the disease, and show that we are leading the way to end Alzheimer’s.
Help us honour and remember the people who have lived with dementia, and join us in the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease. The Walk for Memories will take place on January 28th from 8:30am – 12:00pm, and follows a fully indoors, accessible 2 kilometre route through the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Before and after the walk there will be music, entertainment, and snacks shared with over 1,500 individuals who have been touched by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
Want to join us on the Walk for Memories? Click here to join the RSGSU Team! Students, staff, family, and friends are all invited to participate. There is no fundraising minimum required to participate.

Just in time for the holidays, the RSGSU Social & Service Committee is organi
zing our first service event of the term! We will be partnering with Second Harvest for their annual Turkey Drive ( http://www.secondharvest.ca/turkey-drive ). The Second H

(If you want more information about who the “hungry Torontonians” benefiting from this event are and how Second Harvest allocates the proceeds of the Turkey Drive, please contact us.)
We currently have spots for 8-10 people to come volunteer at the Maple Leaf Gardens Lo

To register your interest, please contact us for more information. If more than 10 people are interested, we can look into organizing another day in early December to volunteer. **PLEASE LET US KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF YOU PLAN TO VOLUNTEER**
